Salobrena‘s closest international airport is Malaga airport (AGP) to which British Airways (LCY, LHR & LGW), EasyJet (LGW), Ryan Air (STN), Iberia (LCY) & Norwegian Air (LGW) have regular flights.
It is possible to get to Salobrena by public transport by taking the C1 train to Málaga María Zambrano (9 min journey running every 20 mins 24/7) and then a second bus (Alsa – four times a day) to Salobrena (1h 35min), via: Nerja (50 mins), La Herradura (65 mins), Almunecar (75 mins) & La Caleta De Salobre (75 mins).
Alsa also run direct buses less frequently between Salobrena and Malga Airport and tickets can be booked online.
A fast road links the airport to Salobrena and the 100Km car journey takes around 1.25h and so hiring a car is much more convenient and is also really quite cheap.
Cars can generally be parked on the road 50-100m from the apartment.

Finally I tried out skiing at Sierra Nevada on 3 Dec 2018 and it was very successful. Alarm set at 6am; showered, breakfasted and out by 6.45am. The drive up to the resort was in the dark and the was very little traffic until I reached the Granada ring road. Possibly next time leave 15 …
